Oh my, when I opened the shipping carton, could not believe what a cheap plastic crate this was. The handle was part of the thin molded frame it had only four fasteners yes really four!!! The door would not fit. It was just unbelievable anyone would make a dog crate like this. Looked like something you might find at the dollar store, and you would just keep walking by. Such a major disappointment. It deserves “no stars” no way would I put any animal in this crate. Totally unsafe for any animal.

The cage is OK for the price. I bought for my hedgehog to travel in car. I don’t think it is sturdy enough for a cat over 5 pounds. As you can see in picture there are two holes in back of cage that DO NOT have anything to hold the top and bottom together-only some sort of “snap together” piece inside that I won’t even trust with my hedgehog who weighs less than a pound. I will however be securing with good ole zip ties! Other than that – It is a good price if you have a LITTLE guy.

This was a great size for my 13lb kitty. He had room to spare. It’s funny I bought this a week before he had a medical emergency! So glad I purchased this, it’s sturdy and easy to assemble. If I was being super picky I wish it came with a strap for it, I just hold the plastic handle.

If you only have to transport your cat once in a great while and don’t want to shell out a ton of money for a carrier, this is the one for you. It assembles very easily, it’s light, and it’s easy to clean. After you’re done with it you can break it down for cleaning and storage in a matter of seconds. The problem I have with this unit is that it’s not very secure. Our cat was able to force the door open with just a little determined pushing. If you need something to store an animal in daily, I would recommend something better than this. But if all you need to do is get to the vet once every few months… this would serve the purpose.

This was supposed to be almost new, but complete. It’s not. It is missing one strap hook and one knob, plus it has a small, clear plastic piece with no obvious function. I hate to have to return it, but it is useless without those two pieces. Anyone know if there is a way to obtain the missing parts?

I am about to adopt a 5 week old kitten and needed a carrier fast. This carrier is quite sturdy. It is plastic and very strong. It comes completely disassembled, but was very east to put together. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to put it together. The color is a bright cheerful green, and as I mentioned earlier, very sturdy and durable. It’s big enough to carry a full grown cat or even a small dog. My little guy will have a lot of space in his new carrier!
Jamie –
I assembled the carrier and tested it with a 15lb sandbag, no issues with sturdiness at that weight. The door is kind of a pain to open. The plastic toggles don’t always line up the first time so it’s annoying if you’re wanting to use as a crate that you open and close many times a day. There is a ridge along the inside edge of the base, so the bottom isn’t completely flat. I bought it for my puppy to sleep in but she was too large (9 weeks, 12lbs).

My area has a program through the humane society that will pick the (offten quite a few) animals up at 6 am, and bring them back at 5 pm, all spayed/neutered, shots, basic stuff. This made it through it all. Even though they handle the crates a bit rougher than I would like.I was concerned due to some negative comments in the reviews, but it was incredibly easy to put together, very few parts, and super easy to use, opening the door in either direction with no adjusting.I only needed it for the day, but I’m confident in it’s durability and feel like I’ll have it even for the next street rescue that comes along!

I was looking for an affordable crate for our new pup. Given the price I was not expecting a high-end feel. Overall I’m pleased with the look and quality of it. It was easy to assemble and will definitely work for our purposes. Happy with the purchase!

I was hesitant after reading the reviews. I received this item on time and it had all of its parts. It was easy to assemble but I had a clear round part neither my hubby or I could figure out where it went. I just kept it just in case. Love the green color, my cat walked right in ( he has no clue he’s going to the vet soon in it)???? I’m very happy with this purchase and the price wasn’t bad at all. I definitely recommend it.
JMAshopper –
Easy to use and comfortable for a large cat, (23” length). Tall enough for cat to stand up in. Easy to assemble and disassemble when ready to store. Can load from top or through front gate. Seemed sturdy enough with 12+# cat in tow yet not so heavy as to be cumbersome to carry. Cat tolerated it very well and he is very shy/skittish. Rode in it to and from vet with no problems. Wire gate needs to be locked into place and it has a distinct click noise when it locks in correctly. Very happy with this carrier. Would buy again if needed, however, expect this one to last a long time.
Laura Junor –
The door will not stay in place. The metal “pegs” aren’t long enough to keep the door in place at all. It falls out with the slightest touch!!!I assembled it according to the directions. This is a massive design flaw.I needed it to transport ferrets in a car and did not have the luxury of returning it to buy one that actually worked. I had to Duck Tape the door on.The manufacturer gets no stars and I’m annoyed at Amazon for selling such an obviously defective product.

I received the carrier last night and started to try to put it together without reading the directions. Became frustrated and thought this would be going back but this morning I noticed a nice set of written that walked me through step by step and it took less than 10 minutes to get set up. Everything is plastic and I don’t expect it to last 15 years but it is a decent carrier for a quick trip to the vet for a lightweight cat or dog.
megan –
The door won’t stay attached and the door attachment prices aren’t even real. There are cheap little plastic. Tabs instead of levers. Also you have to completely remove the door instead of being able to open and close it. You can’t pick it up by the top carrier or it will fall apart. So I ended up duct tapping the entire thing together to get cat to the vet that day . I could’ve saved 30$ and duct taped a box instead
memelord –
I was just looking for a cheaper carrier option since I don’t usually take both my cats to the vet at once but will be soon for convenience sake. I already have a sturdier one for my cat that tends to freak out a little more and this one was for my cat who was very chill in carriers but starts to get unnerved when we leave the house with her in it.You get what you pay for. It’s cheap but holds up okay, I just always carry it in my arms since I’m scared it’ll just fall apart if I try to hold it by the handle, which is very tough on the hands unless you’ve built up like 40 years worth of calluses. It’s okay. Bought the size small for my cat who is slim and she likes to curl up in it at night sometimes. Definitely put a soft blanket down because it’s hard, cheap plastic and you don’t want your baby bumping into it.Not much else to say, in all honesty I don’t expect much use out of it in the long run, if it holds up that long, and it’s just a temporary carrier meant for short car rides.
Lauren A. –
I initially bought this cat carrier because of the simple fact, I just need to get my cat to and from the vet. It does it’s job and does what I need it to do. I would think that buying something cheap you get what you paid for…It does its job. I have no complaints. Nothing is falling apart or breaking off. The plastic does seem a little cheaply made, but I can look past it. I tested it out with another cat of mine (not the one going to be using it) and he seemed to like it. He is a lot bigger than my cat and he fit inside the carrier with ease. So it does hold up with bigger cats as well.
The BaysThe Bays –
The handle is just a plastic piece continuing from the top of the carrier. Not a separate handle that swings out. It seems like it would be okay as long as your cat isn’t too heavy (we have a kitten), but I would definitely be concerned for heavier or even normal sized cats.I only paid $18 for the blue one, but if I paid over $20 like the other colors are priced at, I’d definitely be returning it right now.
KenKen –
These 2 kitty’s are about 14 lbs each, they out grew their smaller size carriers that Izzy still fits it. The carriers have ample room for Josie and Jayden to lay, stand, and completely turn around. The integrated hand molded into the top and the slide together design from the back end make then super strong with no concern of the carrier coming apart. Highly recommend for bigger cats. Not sure about dogs fitting in, we are cat people.

I got this product for a work move in which we would be moving to another side of the country. The product seemed promising until I got it and realized the locking mechanism is made of plastic and not strong plastic. Our 25 pound Garfield hulled his way out several times even while drugged. Either the locks just plain suck or he was on a drug induced rage which made him into a cat hulk either way I would not recommend this to anyone unless they have a very small or calm animal they will get out otherwise.
BrenZ –
This is a great carrier for my kitten!! I ended up getting the larger size when I really could have used the smaller one. In fact my boyfriend was like how big do you think he’s gonna get?! My response? Heck, I don’t know?! However, I would rather it be too big than too small. At least he can stretch out and be comfy!! A lot of people complained about the opening at the top of the carrier, underneath the handle? Not sure what that is about or why the manufacturer made them this way; however, all you have to do is gently push the little flap down past the two tiny tabs that will keep that flap from popping back up. Then kitty can’t get to your hands. I haven’t tried using the straps but I probably won’t, just because they really don’t look very sturdy. Other than that, I would recommend this product.
Miss MoonMiss Moon –
I was debating getting the smallest size, but so glad I got the 22 inch, which is the second smallest. We have a 4 lb kitten and a 9 lb cat who I plan on using these for trips to the vet or to take in my car on vacation. The set up was simple and took my 9 yr old daughter a couple minutes to do. I added zip ties to the rear of the carrier to secure it a bit more. I don’t plan on using the bottom solo. Our 4 lb 5 month old kitten is in the photo. He has plenty of space to stand up and turn around.
migraine girl –
I initially bought only one travel kennel even though we have 3 cats we plan to travel with. (They each need their own space.) I figured it would work for our smallest, calmest kitty but I’d have to fork out more money for sturdier kennels for my boys. I put Cleo’s kennel together as soon as it was delivered. Assembly is very quick and easy even for someone with zero assembly skills like me. After inspecting it, I placed an order for 2 more. These are so much sturdier than I expected. They will safely contain my boys as well. The kitties are inspecting, playing, and sleeping in the kennels now so they’ll be used to being inside them when we travel.
Tess –
UPDATE: I wouldn’t bother buying this kennel. The door wont stay on and the pieces that are supposed to keep it in keep falling out. This is NOT worth the money. There’s a reason this is cheaper than all the other carriers. Its thinner plastic and honestly the door design SUCKS big time in my opinion. That being said, the rest of it is great. It does what we need (our 7 lb deer chihuahua sleeps in it at night). It was quick to put this together and its held up quite well. Really my only complaint is that I truly dislike the door design.

If anyone has concerns about difficult assembly, DON’T BE.REALLY nice design for minimal hardware and maximum flexibility. Door will hinge either direction and snap lock on top and bottom gate hinge hardware/pieces.Unlike more expensive units having 4+ bolts with plastic screws to hold the top/bottom together, the two front lock/cams hold the unit together securely and allow for simple/quick disassembly.Back and sides of top half have “L” shaped pieces that lock into slotted lower half providing secure attachment with minimal weight and extra hardware.I think the added height will be much enjoyed by my little Chihuahua Lucy.Perfect size !!!!
brandy thompson –
Easy to assemble. My giant kitty traveled in comfort. We set it out for about a week so she would get inside and nap in the carrier. Being familiar with the carrier made our extra long day of travel less stressful. The carrier was very roomy and comfortable. It has the advantage of not collapsing like the soft kind. It’s also very easy to clean and store.
Sizzle –
This was very easy to put together and looks nice. However, it isn’t very sturdy. I bought 2, one for each cat, and when I hold it while the cat is in there, sometimes the top and bottom separate. It worried me because my cat could get hurt or run away. It was nice to have while traveling in the car. I ended up tying thin rope between the holes on each corner to ensure it stays secure. The clips it comes with doesn’t really hold the top and bottoms together well on its own. The price was reasonable so I guess you get what you pay for. I recommend it if you’re only using it to keep your pet in it but not for carrying or holding.
millerj –
I love the style of the pet carrier. I bought it for my Kitten. The color is great, and that’s where it ends. It’s not that sturdy nor durable. I’m afraid that my kitten will escape one day when we’re out and I’ll never see him again! The clasps to close the carrier are cheaply made and open very easily. He only has to bump the door and he’s gone. I do not recommend. I only kept it because I didn’t feel like going through the hassle of sending back.
Jillian Turner –
I really don’t understand the other reviews complaining about how complicated it is to put this carrier together. I did it in about 5 mins, lol. Once together, it’s surprisingly sturdy and holds my 16 chunky cat without a problem. I really like that I can take it apart for storage. Previously, I used a soft carrier but, after a couple of pee accidents in the car, I knew I would need a hard carrier. This is the perfect alternative to the pricier carriers and I’ll be buying another one for my second cat.

The product arrived torn near the handle. Apparently another customer who didn’t understand how to open the carrier pulled on that part of the carrier and ripped it. The plastic throughout is very thin. Seldom does one see anything made so cheaply for sale on amazon.com. Yet for some reason or other, this product is not only sold on amazon, but it boasts high ratings.

This is a great crate for my little chihuahua who has personally issues an has to be locked up when he acts a fool! Your able to open the door in any direction or just remove it all together easily. The top has plenty of slots for air and site seeing. There’s a loop on both sides of the top handle if you want to add a strap for carrying but it doesn’t include the strap, I wouldn’t use it anyway but it is there for people who do. All in all I’m very happy with this crate and for the price you can’t beat it. I purchased the toy size and my 2 lb teacup has plenty of room.

I bought this pet carrier for my small puppy. It was very easy to assemble. I’m used to the older style carriers with the squeeze lock on the door, but the lock style on this carrier is pretty genius! The locking mechanism allows you to open the door from the left or right, and I feel that it’s a lot easier to open and close than the squeeze lock. I also prefer this plastic carrier over a cloth carrier so that it can be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned if needed. It’s very light weight and travels well.
Donna McCracken –
I bought this for my cat to use in the house to put a bed in for when he wants a break from our puppy chasing him all the time. I also use carriers for both pets when we are bringing things in and out of the house for safety so they don’t get outside. I use other carriers for taking them out to the vet that are made better. I realize this is an inexpensive carrier but still expect the door not to fall out. I would never take him out of the house in this carrier, would be afraid it would come open as I read in other reviews. This problem has happened several times now.
Vanessa Montoya –
A perfect compact size for your small animals. Not only it can be use as a traveling carrier but also it can be your dogs own personal room. Being a dog mom of five Chihuahuas they enjoy having their own little room and having their own stuff in there. When I first got the pet carriers it was easier to assembled and easy to disassemble. It is a good size for your dogs to travel in or just a room to sleep in. overall I am very satisfied with this product
jecondon –
These are great simple pet carriers for trips to the vet and the like. (I’d go with something fancier for flying or the like, but those things are also a LOT more expensive — and most small animals don’t ever travel that extensively, anyway.) They take about 60 seconds to assemble, and having followed the directions I haven’t had any issues with them coming apart or the doors coming open unexpectedly. I have two and bought another for a friend who needed one in a pinch! I have not used the hooks for a shoulder strap, as they did not look particularly sturdy – and I also don’t usually carry a hard-sided carrier over my shoulder, anyway.
AshD –
The material and quality of carrier itself for the most part is pretty sturdy and ok. The part where there is an issue, is with the little levers/pins that are supposed to hold the door closed. Let’s just say they don’t do the job well. They fall out constantly causing the crate door to fall off. Every time I would try to open the door to let my pup out, the entire door would just fall off. My pup also managed to push the door off on her own several times, while it was closed! This thing is not safe, the pin mechanism is flawed and needs to be rethought and redesigned.Returning immediately.

I’ve had this product for 1+ years (and bought a bigger version later on) and it gets the job done for this price.Pros:+ Cheap+ Fits my cats+ Hasn’t fallen apart after a 1+ years with my 15lb cat+ Cat likes to sleep in it like a den+ Top comes off so the veterinarian can take the cat out (if the cat likes to hide inside from them)+ Easy to assemble once you get the hang of itCons:- Cheap build, but worth it for the price you pay- Can be difficult for the veterinarian to reassemble the doors- Does not feel sturdy, but it doesn’t have any signs of cracks or damage after 1+ years
Sheila Jordan –
We purchased 3 of the 22 inch. We have been using soft sided carrier’s for vet trips once a year. We were growing concerned with all of the bad weather we have had the past few years and wanted something sturdy in case we had to evacuate with our cats. These are perfect so far for all 3 of our cats, they weigh from14 -16 pounds. One of the containers was missing the turn knobs and customer service responded quickly and is sending replacements. I made some pads for the bottom from an old egg shell mattress and use pillow cases to cover the pads.
ShopaholicX2 –
We purchased this for a cross country trip and because the door is really difficult to operate, we ended up not using it because we didn’t feel like it was secure enough. The design is really nice, olive color is really pretty, quality of plastic is good. We kept it because it’s a nice product and we can use it for trips to the vet, but I wouldn’t trust it for the airport, or out of town trips when you’re going in and out of hotels.
Geoff –
My cat hates this, but he hates all carriers, on principle. His opinion aside, this is a great carrier for the price point. It serves its purpose in those occasions wherein it’s absolutely necessary to transport my cat. If your cat hates being crated, too, I recommend laying down a soft towel or blanket and spraying it with some pheromone – this seems to help my cat remain somewhat more calm

I bought this mainly for my little dachshund to have a den to be in when I take him to the barn where my horse is. I kept it because the price was pretty good, but it is cheaply made. This will not stand up to heavy use or travel at all. I’ve bought midwest crates before so I was surprised that this was a somewhat low quality. However, it works well enough for my purpose.

This carrier is great for the money. However, it does not come with screws to secure the top to the bottom. You will need to get zip ties and put them through the holes on the back to secure the carrier properly. I didn’t realize this and when I went to pick up the carrier with my kitten inside of it, it came apart and sent my new kitten crashing to the floor. It’s a decent cheap carrier IF you zip tie the back holes. It’s simple and not fancy, but if you’re on a budget it’s great. You cannot load from the top, and once you zip tie it secure, it’s not going to come apart if you have an animal whoIs difficult to get out of the front door. One of the local animal rescue groups used these, since they are so affordable.
Amazon Customer –
My dog likes the crate and feels comfy and secure. However, the grey knobs that hold the gate in place are made of plastic and after 3 months, aren’t working properly. The grooves have worn down so the gate wont stay in place anymore. I contacted the manufacturer and requested replacement knobs (if available). I’m hoping they’re defective and the crate is salvageable. If so, I’ll update my review accordingly.April 8th update: Midwest was responsive but want to charge me $9.99 for replacement door lock knobs. All in with tax & shipping, probably close to $20. Since my initial review, one of the knobs holding the top of the crate fell off in transit and is now missing. Those are probably $9.99 too. No thanks, I’m out.

Great cat carrier that’s easy to disassemble when needed. As others had mentioned the door will easily come off, but only if you don’t understand how the latching mechanism works. I love it as you can take the door completely off, or have it open from either side depending on which latches are unhooked. It seemed sturdy when we took our cat to the vet, and had no issues getting our cat into or out of the carrier. Definitely worth its price and would purchase again!

We have 2 large cats and thought the mid size would be enough. While they each fit and have room to turn around, I think they may have liked the next size up. the door is also a bit smaller than the carrier we used to borrow from a friend when we needed it, One cat goes in without even telling him to, but our girl wanted to struggle and made it tricky to get her in and door locked. They each are just over 15 pounds , and while it feels secure, there is some flex in the handle while carrying and when they move inside.Very easy to put together, I was overthinking it, but it was so simple and secure.

My pets love this carrier, and it’s ideal for cats. It was easy to assemble and has several options to open the door. My cats love hanging out inside even on days they aren’t going anywhere. I had to buy a second one so they would each have one. My escape artist kitty could not get out of it once closed, no matter how hard he tried. (He can get out of any carrier with a zipper). Great buy.
Book-a-day –
I bought this because it has great reviews. The first night with my 8 week old puppy she fell asleep in it just fine. The problem came when she woke to potty. The door hinges kept falling out & I couldn’t secure the kennel. I ended up having to put her in her playpen for the night. Totally useless.

I had been preparing to adopt my cat, all last week and I needed a carrier to be able to take him home. I was a little worried about how big the carrier would be as my cat is basically almost full grown. As soon as the carrier arrived I was surprised at how big it actually was, there was more than enough room for my cat to move and turn around in it. I’m sure you can fit several kittens or maybe even two adult cats. Assembly was super easy and took less than 5 minutes. Once built, it felt very sturdy and secure which made it really easy to transport my new cat home!
What a Wonderful Life! –
Overall, we really like this cat carrier but I am not super pleased with the connecting turn knobs connecting the top and bottom half of the carrier. I brought my kitten to visit some people and on the way out the door they wanted to see her one last time…little did I know, they used the connecting turn knobs to open the crate to get her out. When I drove home, I realized that even though I had closed the crate door correctly, the entire cage had been open during the car ride home because the one turn knob had been moved. I’m glad my kitten was okay because if she had crawled out it could’ve been a lot worse.
Uncle Dude –
Good value for under $20 for this light weight travel crate. Not the sturdiest, nor airline approved, but it was purchased as a second unit to the much sturdier crate we have so we don’t have to bring the crate up and down the stairs for night time and for day time. We plan on using it sparingly for short distance travel by car and as a private space during the day. This allows us to leave the stronger and sturdier crate upstairs in the bedroom. Easy to put together, took all of 1 minute. Can’t complain about a crate that costs less than $20.
BossLady –
Carrier was easy to assemble (only took me 5 minutes) and it seems sturdy. It’s easy enough to open & close the door any way you choose. I bought it to adopt a cat and if I’d chosen a kitten, it would have been great. I ended up picking a 15 pounder and the carrier was too small. It could handle the weight, but the length and width were too little to shove a large, scaredy cat into. It worked out though when the humane society gave me a larger cage because not many people choose the older, bigger cats and I gave them this new one, which is more suitable for the kittens.

I had been searching everywhere for a small red carrier. I could not find a red one anywhere until I stumbled upon this one. I read the reviews thoroughly and saw a lot of comments about the item either arriving in the wrong color, incomplete or without instructions. However I took my chances and purchased this carrier. When it arrived unfortunately did come incomplete it was missing 4 of the plastic screws. I promptly contacted the seller by e-mail they got back to me in less than 24 hours and resolved my problem with ease. Now my carrier is complete and it is sturdy, my kitten loves her carrier and I am pleased with this purchase. It was an inconvenience to have it arrive incomplete and it is annoying because things should be done right the first time around. But I am just happy to have had the issue resolved.

This door is not secure at all. It not only opens from both ends, it has cheap plastic pegs that stick out that can easily be bumped by mistake…now the door swings open. If you try to catch the door, and accidentally bump a peg on the other side, now the door falls off completely. Yes, happened to us!!! Luckily, we were still at home. Imagine being outside somewhere….

This is a decent carrier if your animal is Calm! If you have a pet that doesn’t like being in a carrier Please Do Not Use this one! They can and do get OUT! I have had 3 cats get out 2 are gone outside! One ran like a bat out of hell! Never to be seen! Again. One is out right now in a holding house for spayed and Neutered animals! He got the door pushed out due to the style of peg/locks used on front door! The peg falls down if rattled by animal and then door easily pushed out! If you want a Safe secure carrier Buy another kind!

I bought a larger one for my bigger cat and it worked out fine for going to the vet. Then I lured a skinny stray cat into the house. She’s small probably because she’s been malnourished. I’m trying to get her used to getting in a crate so I can take her to the vet and the first time I tried we had a battle and she won. So I got this 19 inch crate to use as a bed, kept the door off for now, and she loves it. It’s nice and cozy and it’s easier to keep clean from cat hair.

The door latches are very flimsy and unsafe. One popped off after only the third use. I worked around it for about 3 weeks, but now the door just entirely pops off without warning. This is not safe for so many reasons. Were it not for this fatal flaw, this would be a 5-star product. I really like the size and color. And I especially love the integrated carrying handle, which feels sturdy. But the flinsy mechanism for closing the door is a deal-killer.
Charles S. Amicangelo –
I bough this for a kitten we recently adopted and already used it to take him to the vet a couple times. This carrier was extremely easy to put together right out of the box, took about 3 minutes and didn’t require any tools. It’s a nice color blue instead of the typical brown or tan or black carriers you always see. It’s also very sturdy and doesn’t have any gaps or areas that the animal can stick it’s paws or face through other than the grate. My only complaint is that it comes with latches on top for a shoulder strap but the actual strap isn’t included. Not everyone has shoulder straps laying around. Otherwise fantastic product and recommended!
SamESamE –
This has worked really well for our two kittens. Assembly took a few minutes, but once I got it together it is very sturdy and works well. To make sure the kittens felt comfortable with it, I got it about a week before their first vet appointment, left it open near their area of the house where all their food and play stuff is, so they could explore it.They still don’t like riding in the car, but they do love their carrier. Most days I find at least one of them, if not both, curled up and sleeping in their carrier. I like the the door is completely removable if we want because I just take it off when I’m not using it to allow them to sleep in there when they want.

Used to carry a poor cat that was abandoned at our house in the country. The first time I caught it to take to SPCA to see if it was chipped, the cat tore through the Pet Store cardboard container before I could get to the car. I ordered this as I only had a soft carrier for my 2 cats and I knew it would be shredded if I used it.When I put the poor soul into the carrier, it went berserk again. It lasted for 15 miles (22 minutes) with no injury to the cat or the carrier. I like the double lock door so the cat could not slip a paw out to injure itself or me.A special curse on people who abandon their pets in the country instead of adopting them out. Luckily I caught the cat before the coyotes or dogs did.

i thought i was doing a ‘kind’ thing, getting my kit-kat a soft carrier… WRONG! first (and last!) journey in it (soft) he EXPLODED! sitting (in carrier) on my 88yo ma’s lap while i driving… he totally freaking out! literally like an explosion?! (u forget how much/many muscles they have until u see in action — holy moly! ????) he never did ‘enjoy’ his hard carrier, but he never reacted like that?! don’t know if it had an odor?! or because it soft he thought could ‘break free’ or ?!?! and of course for the first time EVER i gave something away… my old hard carrier! ???? so back to amazon! ???? saw this… it looked good/sturdy enough and the price was right… we are all now v happy! PHEW! ????

I bought this for my pet rats, because they shredded the fabric one I had. I know it’s plastic but it’ll be fine for now. The instruction are fairly easy to understand and the assembly is great. I will say that this is not stable enough for a cat or dog, nor kittens or puppies. I think it’ll be good for smaller animals, like guinea pigs, rats, or Bearded Dragons. The bar spacing is not good for hamsters or mice. And I’d put rabbits and chinchillas in the same category as kittens and puppies. It’s not stable enough to carry a lot of weight. But for my rats, it’s perfect. It’s cheap plastic, but it’ll do.

I titled this amazing because I cannot believe that this carrier has such a low price. It is easily worth 2-3 times as much. I commented on how nice the carrier is to someone I saw at the vets office and she said she bought it on Amazon. She talked about how sturdy and roomy is it and I couldn’t believe when she said what it cost. I ordered one as soon as I got home. Everything she said is true. I also like how open it it; even at the top. All carriers allow cats to look out the sides but my cats like that they can also see out above them. There is plenty of room for my larger cat to move around in. I have a soft carrier but I feel my cats are safer in this hard shell. I strongly recommend it!!

Unfortunately this is a very cheaply made product. It came assembled and is easy to unassembled and reassemble, however, it’s not sturdy, the doors aren’t really secure enough and can be reopened with little to no force internally. If your cat likes to head butt the cage as mine does…keep an eye out, the door will open. I wouldn’t recommend it this product to anyone. It was a good low price, but this is the one time where “you get what you pay for” came back and bit me.

It was easy to assemble, though I did end up with an extra part not mentioned in the instructions. I spent more time trying to figure out where that piece belonged than I did assembling the entire unit. LOL I put some heavy items inside of it and shook the carrier around… it didn’t come apart. So, here’s hoping Sir Castiel Winchester, first of his name, protector of the realm, holder of the sacred Chalice of Rixx and heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed doesn’t outsmart this carrier!

The front door opens from left to right or right to left so it’s great for left handed or right handed people. Also doesn’t spontaneously open like some carriers I have had so it keeps your little buddy secure. I purchased this for Churro, our Ferret. He gives it 4 paws up! Plenty of room for our trips to the pet store to get his nails clipped and ears cleaned. Plus I put his blankets in with him to keep him cozy on the car ride. I’ve received many compliments on the design, color and how sturdy it is. Very easy to assemble and disassemble for those moments when Churro’s become overly excited they are going in the car and have an accident. I would highly recommend this carrier.

I admit I’m not very good at assembling things, but I actually purchased several of these in a couple different sizes and one of them won’t stay put together at all.Not sure if I did something wrong? The instructions for assembly is pretty easy and straight forward but every time I try to open the cage door it starts to fall apart and come undone. It’s a very cheap plastic device. Don’t plan on using them often. Not sure if I would purchase again.

This carrier only took about a minute to assemble, it comes with a big paper print out for instructions so it’s easy to follow, I’m very confused by the reviews that say it’s hard to put together because you only have to screw two bolts into the front sides, and then 4 to hold the door and you’re done. The door CAN swing open on two pegs, you don’t have to take it all the way off just to open. Granted the plastic does seem somewhat thin, you get what you pay for and this was in my budget. It’ll definitely hold up just fine for how little we transport our cats

This was a pretty basic hard carrier I bought for transporting our cats to Hawaii. One of the clips fell out apparently during loading and unloading so when the cat got to the Department of Agriculture inspection the door fell off, Kitty escaped and we spent the rest of the day trying to get a frightened, angry cat into another carrier. The description says “no nuts and bolts like the competition.” Believe me you WANT those nuts and bolts.

I just needed an inexpensive carrier for taking my rabbit to the vet, and this does the job. Yes, it’s made out of cheaper, lightweight plastic, but that’s what I expected for $12. The door is a little cumbersome (it’s not on a hinge – you have to remove and replace the door to let the animal in and out), but it’s not difficult. I don’t think I’d recommend this for an adult cat, or any dog that’s larger than a puppy, but it does work great for my 3-pound bunny.

I have 4 foster kittens and needed a good carrier for vet trips. This is perfect for the purpose and the right price. If I were planning airline travel, Id get something more beefy but this is great for short car trips. Sturdy enough to carry by the handle – no issue there.Update- the carrier broke near where the door anchors in. Very disappointed. I used this only about 4 times loaded with less than 6 lbs of kittens. It’s no longer useable

For transparency, I took away one star because I was sent a 20 inch even though I ordered a 22 inch. I don’t have time for returns because all 3 of my cats have appointments. Luckily one of my cats is quite petite so I don’t think it will be a huge problem for a vet trip. I wouldn’t travel for long with her in it though.Aside from that, the carrier is great. Easy to assemble, the colors are fun, and it seems sturdy and well made. I would order more if needed for additional feline friends (I foster cats frequently and like sending them home in their own carriers).

This cage needs to be redesigned. Atleast the hinges to the door becuase they are plastic knobs which hold the metal door. The knobs should not be plastic if I wouldve known how cheap the door was I wouldve never bought it. Ive only used this cage a few times and my small 6 month old puppy has already managed to bust out of this cage numerous times. I even almost lost him once becuase he escaped from this cage but luckily he was smart enough to come back! As long as the plastic knobs remain the same, this cage defeats its purpose. Buy another

I bought this crate about 2 months ago and ever since I bought it, it has continuously fallen apart while my cat is inside of it. No matter how I assemble it, when I carry my cat, it falls apart. The crate even falls apart at the vets office when my cat needs a checkup. I reached out to customer service and had no reply for 4 days. Finally, someone got back to me and asked for my information and details. After I sent this information, it was another 4 days before I got a response. I was told my crate was not malfunctioning and was perfectly fine. They refused to replace or refund me for the crate that was broken. When I responded again to the email saying it was not an assembly issue, they did not respond. Do not buy from this company, and look elsewhere for your animal’s safety.

This is junk, the door does not secure in any reliable way. The plastic fasteners are flimsy and unreliableI bought it to house an eight but each time I lifted the door came loose. I had the door fasteners properly installed and closed. I don’t think it’s safe to use with a live animal. Maybe a stuffed dog or cat.

I love the amount of air circulation and how I can easily see my piggies inside.Super easily to assemble and disassemble and clean (compared to a typical fabric carrier for small animals). I can just disassemble the carrier, wash the homemade pee pad, and wipe the plastic bottom.I highly recommend this as the best carrier for those with 2 guinea pigs (I got the 19” one). Not to mention that there is even enough space to insert a fleece pee pad and tie on a water bottle and a hay bag (or just throw the hay in he back). My piggies loved it as they can spread their legs & move around a bit. At $20 I also found it very affordable and a good investment for any future emergency vet visits or traveling.

Very sturdy pet carrier. My dog likes for our littlest dog to sleep in her room, and we don’t want him wandering around leaving little surprises for us in the mornings. We have a metal crate that is the same size but due to the curved dressing of the bottom and the top it’s smaller than I thought it would be. The door latch is tricky but once we got the hang of it it stays locked. We always lock both tabs/levers and he doesn’t get out. He’s tried – who says an old dog can’t lead a horse to water where’s the green isn’t always greener? We’ve not had any lock issues as others have described. Just make sure it’s locked and the gate is installed correctly and securely

I bought 2 of these for my cats. Love the top loading and of course the color. I use them to separate the kitties during meal time. Perfect. But a recent trip to the vet revealed that an uncooperative cat can bust right out of them. This is problematic when you need to contain a frightened cat.

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my male cats. One weights 15 lbs.and the other weights 17 lbs.they are just big boys (not fat,big frames) These carriers are fine for them, they have room.I like the looks of these carriers, and they were easy to put together, however I have slipped those heavy plastic ties in the extra holes.I did this as a precaution as I am not so sure that the top and bottom part of the carrier won’t come apart when you are carrying your pet.I did not feel the carrier was that secure in the way it was made. would hate for the carrier would come apart when I am taking either of my boys to the vet. I feel like for what I paid they are fine, but again I feel like one would need a bit more support for these carriers.

Overall I like this carrier. My big boy isn’t declawed so I was worried about the soft carriers. I’m in the process of moving so my guy has to go to get to get his yearly work up and I need something to put him in. If it wasn’t for that I would have sent this back and got a replacement because it came with two small cracks. But over all it doesn’t hurt the integrity of the structure or the appearance and everything else is above my expectations so I’m good with the purchase.

When I got this crate, I LOVED it. I really like the design which makes it so easy to take apart to clean. The door opens from both sides which is awesome, I love the size and color. Loved it! But I have had it 3 weeks now and already the door isn’t locking correctly. The mechanism to hold it in place isn’t working and when you go to open it, sometimes the door falls all the way out. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised given the price, but if you are looking for something durable, invest in a different crate. If you are looking for an affordable crate to take your cat to the vet in once a year, this would be perfect for that! Just not for daily use.

Before I even had this completely put together my cat was inside it. He’s been sleeping in it everyday with the door open. He’s about 13 pounds and the 22in is perfect for him. The locks for the crate are plastic so not certain how long it’ll last but I expected that when purchasing. One review said the whole door falls off when you open it which isn’t true. You can open only one side just like a normal carrier. The back doesn’t have any additional reinforcements to hold it together like the front so I popped some zip ties on there for peace of mind. Overall I really like it and so does my cat.

Y’all,This tiny little puppy can push on the door and if she does it enough she can push the whole door OFF the kennel. She is like 2 pounds and only been using the kennel less than 3 days. The issue is the way door mechanisms that hold it on and closed are made. You put the door in the slots and twist plastic things to make it stay in.Other than the door, the rest is designed well. But seeing as the entire need is to keep the dog in the kennel, this gets 1 star.

This was inexpensive, but I just needed something quick and easy to transport a stray cat. It’s fairly sturdy. If you want something that you plan to use often, I’d probably pay more for a better quality one. The main issue is that it is “held together” with plastic tabs that “turn” a certain way. The same “tabs” are also used in opening and closing the door. Don’t get me wrong — they do work, but it takes a little more effort than typical carriers. You have to look at it and think….”hmmm…what do i need to move or turn”…and then you have it. Fine for the price.
