It good for a start but two months later it’s time for a new one but, lucky for me it was a starter cage!

This makes a great starter kit for your kids or grandkids guinea pig. The kit has everything but your guinea pig, bedding and food. The kit includes the guinea pig home, a food dish, water bottle, hay feeder, and a large guinea pig hide-out. The cage allows the front to flip up for easy cleaning while there is a place on the top you can open to feed your pet. The set up is very easy and before you know it, your guinea pig has a new home. The entire kit seems to well made. This kit is a great way to start with your small guinea pig. We highly recommend this kit.

This really is a nice complete Guinea pig habitat for anyone who needs a starter kit. The size is quite good for a small animal (although you will want to get something larger as they grow) and it is very well made. The fact that it comes with all the basic accessories that you need (water bottle, hutch) is really awesome. Great little cage, great bargain considering all that comes with it.

I know a lot of people will say this is not enough room for a Guinea pig but it is perfect for ours! We had a huge cage with a play run and she always seemed scared and wouldn’t come out from under her house. She is much smaller than our other piggies and didn’t look very healthy. We moved her to this cage and she really seems to love it! She will also hang out and eat in the cage and doesn’t run and hide every time we walk in the room. She seems so much more at ease and has even grown a little. She does loves going in the little house too though but she doesn’t just stay there. She is smaller than most Guinea pigs so she can’t use the ladder to get to the top so we just sat her food bowl down in the bottom. We bought some fleece pads that fit perfectly in the bottom so cleanup is a cinch. Sooo easy compared to other cages. So yeah I probably wouldn’t recommend this for very large Guinea pigs but for some it truly is the perfect cage.

It’s working well for us, we’re mainly using it for at night. Note that it’s best for animals about the size of a guinea pig- if it’s relevant, I suggest not to use it for real small critters since the slats have slightly more space than the cages for hamsters and such. It’s sturdy and the top door opens/closes well. It’s spacious and not hard to take apart to clean.

Dont buy this to small for a guinea pig they need up to 5 feet or more room

This cage is too small for even one Guinea Pig. It’s otherwise a good cage except for the size. I recommend the Midwest Guinea Pig Habitat (kind of a teal color with a canvas bottom) or the XL Wabbitat which is a great size for 1-2 Guinea Pigs but not large enough for a rabbit.

Great for the money.

This cage is better quality than some of the other ones I have seen. It feels very durable and all of the parts seem well made. It was easy to put together, overall this has been a fantastic experience, I like the size and that to comes with the main accessories you will need. This is a pretty good package to be honest, I am very satisfied.

The MidWest Homes for Pets Critterville Cleo Guinea Pig Cage was much bigger than I had originally anticipated. I was very pleased with this item. It comes with everything you need (except the pet, you’ll have to purchase one of them on your own).Everything was well-made and well designed. Plenty of space and it’s also very attractive. I would give this cage a two thumbs up for quality.

This cage works perfectly for my 2 adult Guinea pigs. The especially like the little enclosure where they can hide. There is a decent amount of space for them to run around when we dint have them out in a larger area. It comes with the Timothy hay holder to clip on the side and a food bowl for their kibble. It’s really easy to clean, we out newspaper down on the bottom and then put their bedding on top of that so as long as we clean it every 2 days the paper just lifts out with all their waste, wipe it down and put new paper and bedding.

This thing is huge!! Perfect size for a guinea pig or maybe a small rabbit. I had picked it up thinking it may work for a ferret, but didn’t fully do my research on that first, and definitely more suited for a smaller critter who needs less space to roam. I love that it comes with all the accessories (food bowl, water bottle and little hay feeder). There is also a den for your pet to have some privacy in. The cage opens from the front and top, and the wired top can be unlatched and remover for easy cleaning. Great starter pack for a new critter owner.

I converted and modified for a Syrian Teddy Bear hamster. The Syrian hamster needs lots of running room. Installed plastic walls with lots of holes and cut a hole from the bottom to insert a tube from a smaller cage. She goes crazy. Runs around all that space, all night. Drives me nuts. Glad my daughter loves that hamster. Happy hamster, happy daughter, happy dad. It’s a great cage for any rodent.

If you are looking for an add-your-pet and food solution to small pet ownership, this is the product for you. Inside the box, you get a 30.3″L x 18.5″W base (basically a large litter box) with a white metal cage that securely clips on top of it. The total height of the cage with the base on it is 16.5″. The cage is large and will need adequate space, so be sure to measure where you intend to place it prior to purchase. The cage opens from both the side and top for easy access to for cleaning, feeding and to engage with your pet. I liked that there were two access points, making it easier for cleaning and feeding. There’s also a plastic shelter, food dish, hay feeder and water bottle (both clip to the side of the cage) included with this kit. This is a great choice for guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and ferrets, but be sure to take your pets out to socialize and play with them. Removing the shelter is easily accomplished, making this cage suitable for small rabbits too. This product comes with a 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty which covers manufacturing defects, but not issues created by your pet by chewing or scratching.A great gift idea, the MidWest Homes for Pets Critterville Cleo Guinea Pig Cage is well-made and comes with everything you need to get started with your new pet. ????

Our guinea pig loves this this is much bigger than the cage that we got for her at a pet store. It’s got a place for her to sleep and burrow under which is where the food bowl is. And she loves it it’s much bigger than I expected. If you have a guinea pig or if you’re planning on getting a guinea pig you will love this cage. We had one of those igloo type houses for her to sleep in and now we don’t have to use that anymore because it has a built in place already.

Although this cage may come with “everything you need” this cage should never ever be used as a permanent home for one guinea pig let alone 2. I bought this as a cage to temporarily keep a new guinea pig in while quarantining her, but reading the reviews it really worries me seeing how many people think this is a suitable size for a permanent home. One guinea pig needs TWICE as much room in a 2×4 foot cage. This cage is about 1×2 feet. Please instead buy a Midwest cage with the green canvas bottom (or the amazon alternative version) or a C&C cage or another cage with a MINIMUM of 2×4 for 1-2 guinea pigs. Your guinea pigs NEED space to zoom around the cage and be very active and please NEVER keep two guinea pigs in here. It is important to get the right sized cage as your guinea pigs can become VERY sick, overweight, and depressed in a cage that is too small. Also please be aware that even the 2×4 in these style cages with the plastic bottom actually aren’t big enough either as the plastic part where the guinea pigs are is tapered, and therefore they actually have less room than advertised.

This habitat was very easy to put together. Everything just snaps in to place. The habitat is big enough to house two adult guinea pigs. Be careful if you have smaller children. My four year old can open the front very easily.

This cage is much nicer than the previous cage we owned for our guinea pigs. It is not necessarily bigger in size, but the shelf that it came with provides them a safe harbor from outside noises and other animals. It is very spacious and came with a food bowl and waterer, and it even has a specific space for the food bowl where they cannot knock it over. It can open on the top and the side, and it is quit easy to open. One thing I love the most about it is the waterer that came with it. Our old cage leaked and made the bedding nasty way before its time. We have bought several different waterers in various sizes and styles, and this one works the best. Our babies, Biscuit & Beans, are so much happier now. I highly recommend this cage based on the value, quality, and design.

This cage is way to small for a giunea pigs or any animal really. If you don’t believe me look it up, there are lots of videos on the YouTube and there are websites on it to.

Nice configurations for starting out.Has pretty much everything you will need the day you bring home your little fluff ball home.Easy access to reach in and out for feeding and cleaning the bedding. Can see your pet and he still has the much needed hiding space that they love.I like how easy the water bottle is to fill and attach to the outside and gerbil man can still reach it just fine. The build on this one is quality that no doubt will last for years.

This is a wonderful cage for our Guinea pig! Safe and secure, durable and easy to wipe down when it gets dirty! We have toys and treats hanging from the top bars, which are small enough to keep your pet in- but large enough to be able to stick some hay or treats through! We will use this for years to come!

This cage is WAY too small for a guinea pig/hamster. PLEASE do not buy this for your pet.

Good, sturdy cage. Good for smaller animals.
Brian Carpenter –
A little to small for two guinea pigs but if you only buy one, it might not live long so your best bet is to get a larger cage and two pigs. Also the little hidey hole doesn’t stay attached to the base.

This is the perfect little cage for a small Easter bunny! It is very well made and has everything you need to get started effectively. Set up was a breeze and we will be adding the bunny this weekend! A great cage that I could see working well for any small animal.5 stars! Great cage!

Easy to assemble. I got an extra little pet. She loves this cage. Easy for her to go around.
Stacey L. Martin –
Very easy to clean. I love that the top slides open and the front is very easy to open also. After a couple months the water bottle falls out of the plastic clip now so we have added another spring from an old bottle.

We prefer to let our small critters roam in a larger corral during the day, but we like to put them to bed in this at night . It is very cozy, easy to clean and easy to access the little guys!

This cage is well made and easy to assemble. I have had similar cages in the past and didn’t need any instructions for assembly. We’re planning on getting two guinea pigs in the near future and I have been gathering the supplies needed for them. I plan on setting this cage inside a larger caged off area made with wire grids lashed together to make a custom sized playpen and keeping the cage open except for during cleaning times or if someone needs to be quarantined. It is a good cage, but it is MUCH TOO SMALL to use as a closed, permanent cage for a single piggy, let alone two. You will be doing your pets a HUGE disservice if you are thinking of just closing them up in this cage and having it be their whole world. It is cruel and akin to putting a beta fish in a one cup bowl of water. For their permanent space, they need a MUCH bigger cage.

I love these cagesThe fact that the whole front opens makes them great.

I’ve recently gotten a Guinea Pig – supposedly to have a pet for my nieces when they come to visit. Little did I know I’d fall in love with the little fella. This cage is nice and big for your pet to move around, although we often let him out to roam around. It has everything you need to set up including a food dish, water bottle, plastic hay feeder and a hidey hole. The bottom is deep enough to have half a foot of bedding in the cage. I’m so pleased with the design – it has a nice top opening so you can just reach in for cleaning or feeding. Good product.

This cage is entirely too small to house a guinea pig. Please do proper research before purchasing a guinea pig, they required a lot of space.

PLEASE DON’T BUT THIS!! This is extremely small and not enough for even a baby guinea pig. Buy a midwest cage, super ideal for even 2 guinea pigs, please dont just buy one, they need pairs. Go on a guinea pig advice group on Facebook!, they are pros and will help with any questions you need.
MandyBear –
The only thing that was frustrating is that the top part didn’t really align correctly with the bottom so we ended up have to zip tie it. Same with the water bottle holder. It kept falling so we zip tied that too. We have 2 young guinea pigs in it and they have lots of room! They should be good unless they get huge lol

I got this set up for my grandsons who were looking to get a hamster. What a great cage and larger than I expected. Has everything that you need when first getting your pet, so no need to have to purchase items separately. It also was super easy to assemble and within minutes we were ready to use. Highly recommend this cage package for any small animal (mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc).

This is abuse full on abuse. I am a guinea pig owner myself and this is way to small. The guinea pig needs so much more room. If i saw a guinea in the cage i would animal control to take it away from the owner
Lisa Dachenbach-Acker –
This cage is WAY too small for guinea pigs! There’s so much misinformation about what guinea pigs need to have a healthy, happy life and one of the things they need is at least eight square feet of space to live in! They need space to run and so that they’re not stepping on their poop all day. The only appropriate thing this cage could be used for is maybe for traveling.

Every spring we have the problem of how to take Miss Piggy outside. She is so pretty and albino and perfect…prey for the owls and hawks in our neighbourhood, so while we like bringing her out, it leads to the potential of horror and heartbreak. We have had some open play yards but it becomes worrisome to watch them. I like the idea of this crate that protects from overhead predators. It cuts off the toes in the grass pleasure though. We just have to do that while we are right next to her.We have had a lot of fancy cages and beautiful cages for her but have discovered that she cares more about what is inside. Mainly TIMOTHY HAY but also her vitamins and things hanging from the top that she can play through.Size also matters.

I bought these cages because my two guinea pigs started fighting each other and needed to be seperated. I originally had them in a Midwest Guinea Pig Habitat but found it to be too much of a hassle to clean. I like that these cages come with a solid base that latches on to the cage with plastic clips. The cage comes with all the basic accessories a guinea pig needs. I found the included hay troughs to not be very useful as they do not latch on to the cage at the bottom, making them tilt up when full of hay and getting hay all over everything. Some reviews may say the cage is small, but I find that it offers a very reasonable amount of living space for one guinea pig. Overall, I like the cages and my guinea pigs seem very happy in them.
